Blog #1 The Importance of Smartphones
One of the communication technologies that interests me is the smartphone. The smartphone was created to let us communicate nationally and internationally. I use my smartphone in my daily life to do many things. In one day, I can call my parents, see what’s happening in the news, listen to music, and take pictures of interesting things. In school, I can also check my emails, open up the dictionary, or use the calculator if I need to solve a problem. Smartphones are very important to businesses too. We are in an ever-changing society and things are starting to be online. Businesses are becoming centered around technology. It’s so useful to pay a business online or accept payments online. Social media has proved to be very useful. When you are connected to your friends, you can make new friends and connections. These new connections can be handy for networking too. Speaking of social media, you can choose what you want to post or send off to the world. According to the online lecture, younger people were the early adopters of social network sites. I think that is interesting. On top of that, I have a theory that younger people will change the way smartphones function or how social media will function. Besides that, smartphones pose many positive factors to enhance your daily life. It is one of the most important technologies in the world today.
Hey Nicole! I really liked what you said about smartphones and how far they have progressed since they were made. In my blog I talked mainly talked about how the internet as a whole has been innovated over time and you touched on that as well. We had some similar points in that regard, so overall nice job!
ReplyDeleteNice post! I agree that the younger generation will change the way smartphones function. A good example are how emojis are used. We have attached different meanings on emojis that I have to go to urban dictionary to find out what they mean. Now that Vine isn't around, we have adopted TikTok and are creating more content. The internet as a whole is expanding and our reality of the world around us is closer than ever before. The smartphone is the worlds greatest invention in my opinion. From it, so much has come into this world.
